
Copley Hospital Winner at Golf ScrambleFor Immediate Release07/28/2008
In most sports there are winners and those who come in second place. In golf, however, everyone walks off the course a winner, including Copley Hospital. Copley officials are pleased to announce that the 21st annual Copley Scramble Golf Tournament raised more than $17,000.00. The benefit tournament was held at the Stowe Country Club on July 15th. “We had a terrific group of golfers and it is always a fun way for them to demonstrate their strong support for our community hospital,” commented Leah Hollenberger, Copley’s Director of Development and Marketing. Following the post-play luncheon, prizes were awarded to the three teams with the lowest scores. They were: First Place Team:
John Merrill, Stowe; Marcia Mungeon, Morrisville; Dick Maron, Stowe and Doug Young, Williston
Second Place Team:
Valerie Hollis, Hyde Park; Chris Gautreau, So. Burlington; David Rangaviz, Montpelier and Peter Bolten, New Jerse
Third Place Team:
Pauline Manosh, Morrisville; Ray Novakowski, Moscow; Karen Rhodes, Morrisville and Jim Adams, Belvidere Additional prizes were awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin: Men’s Closest to the Pin: Dan Smith, Woodsville, NH Women’s Closest to the Pin: Christi R.
